Chiropractor
Dr. Stefanie Yao received her Bachelors of Science degree with a major in Biology and minor in Economics from the University of Victoria. With an interest in sports medicine, health and wellness she continued her education a further 4 more years in Toronto, Ontario where she achieved her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2009 at the only English speaking chiropractic school in Canada the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College.
Dr. Yao has experience treating many conditions including headaches, neck pain, back pain, muscle strains, ligament sprains, tendonitis and arthritis. Dr. Yao treats patients of all ages and tailors her treatments to suit patient needs. She sees a variety of patients from young to old for a variety of conditions including but not limited to motor vehicle accidents, chronic and acute pain, sports and work injuries as well as maintenance and wellness care.
Dr. Yao’s treatments may combine a variety of manual soft tissue techniques, electrical modalities, exercise advice as well as the use of diversified and instrument assisted chiropractic treatment approaches; in addition Dr. Yao is a certified Graston Technique provider.
Dr. Yao is licensed in British Columbia through the College of Chiropractors of BC and holds memberships with the BC Chiropractic Association (BCCA), the Canadian Chiropractic Association (CCA) and with the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Dr. Yao volunteers her time with various organization and events such as with the Goodlife Victoria Marathon; a Chiropractic Examiner with the Canadian Chiropractic Examining Board and as an interviewer for the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College BC interview panel.
Dr. Yao is always accepting new patients and looks forward to meeting you and providing her services to the people of Victoria.
